The Trailblazers

The trailblazers.

Before there were statistics, there were people.

Before there were sponsors, there were stories.

Before there was proof, there were riders willing to take a chance.

These are some of the people helping us understand what adaptive outdoor mobility can become across the Southeast.

Multiple Sclerosis

Scott.

Before his diagnosis, Scott was an avid mountain biker and wildlife photographer.

Today, he still loves being outdoors and often takes his power wheelchair onto local trails in search of wildlife and photographs.

But every ride ends at the same place.

A bridge.

The bridge sits only a few inches above the trail, but for Scott's wheelchair, that four-inch transition might as well be four feet.

His adventures stop there.

The woods continue.

The trail continues.

The river continues.

But Scott has to turn around.

During his evaluation, Scott crossed that bridge and continued down the trail toward the Pearl River.

For the first time in more than a decade, he was able to reach a place he hadn't seen since before his disease progressed.

It wasn't just about crossing a bridge.

It was about reclaiming a destination.

A place that mattered.

A place he thought he had lost.

Quadriplegia

Thomas.

Thomas suffered a devastating accident that left him a low-level quadriplegic.

Through determination, adaptive equipment, and hard work, he continues to drive himself to work each day and enjoys a successful career as a medical device representative.

Thomas already owned an off-road mobility device and regularly used it at his family farm.

But there was a problem.

The ride was rough.

The vibration was exhausting.

The experience often left him physically worn out after only a short time outdoors.

When Thomas evaluated the TerrainHopper, his reaction was immediate. He could not believe how smooth and comfortable the ride felt compared to the machine he already owned.

As he navigated trails through the woods alongside his wife, something became clear.

This wasn't simply about transportation.

It was about comfort.

About confidence.

About endurance.

About time together.

After the ride, Thomas told us:

“This is the most comfortable I've felt outdoors since my accident.”

For us, that's the mission.

Machines. Moments.

Equipment. Experiences.

Mobility. Freedom.

More Coming

More stories. More faces. More trails.

We're filming and photographing the next trailblazers right now. This page will grow with video stories, ride footage, and photographs from across the Southeast.

Video stories

Riders, families, and the trails they reclaimed — in their own voices.

Photographs

The moments — at the river, on the ridge, around the fire.

Are you a trailblazer with a story to share? We'd love to hear from you.

This Is Why We Do It

Every rider has a story.

Every diagnosis creates a different challenge.

Every family experiences loss differently.

But the mission remains the same.

Help people reconnect with the places they love.

Help them reclaim experiences they thought were gone.

Help them discover that their story isn't over yet.

These are only the first trailblazers.

There will be many more.
