Yes, we recommend cleaning your TerrainHopper after every outdoor use — especially when used in a salt water environment. You can clean your entire TerrainHopper with a hose. Just take care to protect the joystick and any other electronic controls from direct high-pressure water. Avoid aiming a hose up under the dashboard to avoid getting any of the electronics wet.

Depending on the size of your battery pack, a full charge from 50% typically takes 2–6 hours using our 16A Victron Smart Charger. You can leave the charger plugged into the TerrainHopper when not in use and it will turn itself on and top off the batteries every seven days. We recommend plugging in overnight so your TerrainHopper is ready for your next adventure.

The TerrainHopper is made almost entirely of aircraft-grade aluminum with stainless steel hardware. Although rust resistant, salt water can be corrosive to aluminum over time. After beach outings, we recommend thoroughly hosing off your entire vehicle.
